totally agree with that alan watts quote. people today have a hard time grasping a concept like that because the method has been lost to time and materialism; psychedelics are now viewed by most of the world as a fun pastime for reckless and escapist drug abusing failures. good thing the universe allows people like us to exist to try and balance it all out. “truly stupid people aren’t interested in psychedelics because they can’t figure out what the point of it is.” - terence mckenna | Jellyfish Times totally agree with that alan watts quote. people today have a hard time grasping a concept like that because the method has been lost to time and materialism; psychedelics are now viewed by most of the world as a fun pastime for reckless and escapist drug abusing failures. good thing the universe allows people like us to exist to try and balance it all out. “truly stupid people aren’t interested in psychedelics because they can’t figure out what the point of it is.” - terence mckenna - Jellyfish Times

[Quote in question]

You are correct. I’d also like to add that I dislike the fact that drugs as a whole are largely seen simply as aids for “partying” and alleviating “boredom”. EVERY drug you put into your body will have a damaging effect of some kind, no matter how small. (Yes, that includes weed, you fucktards :]) Physical or psychological, any notion of a complete absence of negative effects is an illusion. This means that people absolutely need to have good access to thorough and quality information on all psychoactive/psychedelic substances, as well as a good reason for using them. The latter becomes much more important as harm naturally begins to outweigh sustainable benefits, and it is up to the user to be able to find the right balance.

And of course, I’m sure all of you know the advantages can be enormous - just don’t forget that the real benefits are those that last.

I’m not sure how much sense I make at the moment - I’m kind of lost in my music, lol. But, I would be glad to clarify anything I didn’t sufficiently explain.

:]
